BRG Takes Home ELEVATE Award from Capstone Health Alliance

BATON ROUGE, La. – Baton Rouge General (BRG) today announced that Todd Daniel, materials management director, received the 2018 ELEVATE Award from the Capstone Health Alliance. BRG partners with Capstone, a regional group purchasing alliance of healthcare members that blends the best of regional and national contracting for optimal cost savings.
Capstone members share best practices and resource utilization initiatives to improve cost, quality and outcomes in patient care. The alliance is made up of 139 health systems and 275 hospitals.
“Todd has dug in to this partnership with Capstone, serving on their leadership councils and sharing insight with fellow members while also bringing best practices back to BRG,” said Kendall Johnson, BRG Chief Financial Officer. “As one of seven people to win the award nationwide, we are proud to have Todd on our team.”
Each year Capstone recognizes members for meeting and initiatives participation, input and feedback, and overall support of Capstone. Recipients are nominated by a Capstone team member and evaluated by the Capstone leadership team.
Daniel has been at Baton Rouge General for 13 years, 10 of those as materials management director.
