Baton Rouge General Ranks Second as Best-in-State Employer

BATON ROUGE, La. Baton Rouge General (BRG) ranked second in Forbes’ Best-in-State Employers for 2023. The rankings are based on surveys of thousands of employees who rated their own employers as well as employers within their state or industry. The healthcare and social services sector was the most represented nationally in the rankings, and in Louisiana, four healthcare systems ranked in the top 10 best-in-state employers.

Partnering with market research firm Statista, Forbes surveyed 70,000 full- or part-time employees in the U.S. at companies with more than 500 employees, asking them to rate their employer overall and in categories like environment, gender pay equity, opportunities for advancement, pride in the company’s product or services, and whether they would recommend their employer to friends and family.
