How You Can Help
From supplies and equipment to patient support and staff essentials, the needs are ever-changing and will continue to evolve. Here are a few ways you can help out:
Send Your Love to the Front Line!
We’re asking the community to take a moment and say thank you to members of our BRG team. Whether you know someone at the hospital or not – write a message to help bring comfort to our healthcare workers during this stressful time.

Donate Blood
Blood centers throughout the country have experienced a significant drop in donations, and Baton Rouge has been no exception.
Donate Plasma
Baton Rouge General is participating in the FDA’s Expanded Access to Convalescent Plasma program(CCP) that is lead by the Mayo Clinic, and is looking for donors. If you’ve survived COVID-19, you may be able to help others fight the virus by donating plasma.
You can donate blood or plasma today at the LifeShare Blood Center - Baton Rouge on Essen Lane.
Donate Supplies
Supplies needed:
- Masks (N95 masks, Procedure masks, Surgical masks, Cloth masks)
- Face shields
- Goggles
- Isolation gowns
- Hand sanitizer
- Wipes (Bleach wipes, Germicidal wipes)
- Gloves
If you have any supplies to donate, please call (225) 381-6005.
Make a Financial Donation
Many have asked how they can best support the front line, therefore the Baton Rouge General Foundation has established a COVID-19 Operations Fund. This fund will allow our team to work directly with hospital leaders who understand best what is needed each day.
To make an immediate impact, please click here and designate your gift to COVID-19. By supporting our hospital directly, the funds will go to work as soon as they are received. For questions, please call (225) 763-4372.
