Palliative Care
Palliative medicine focuses on the care of patients and families who are affected by serious illness. Our palliative care team helps with the symptoms of life-limiting illness and the side effects of treatment during your ongoing care. We offer a support system to help patients live as actively as possible and provide ongoing care guided by the patient's defined quality of life.
Symptoms that may be improved by palliative care include:
- Anorexia
- Anxiety or nervousness
- Constipation
- Depression or sadness
- Difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Nausea or vomiting
- Pain
- Trouble sleeping
Call (225) 366-7333 to request palliative care services, or speak to your care provider.
